Well the trip began at 4:00 pm. Actually, 4:05 pm, when I arrived at the Alabama Air National Guard building. Holly and Will came with me as we delivered blankets, clothes, markers, and coloring books to be delivered to the orphanage in Tulcea, Romania. Once we dropped the deliveries, Holly and Will left after spending a little time with me and the group.
We had a short briefing, then departed for dinner.
Dinner was great! It consisted of an excellent salad, followed by rosemary steak, twice baked potatoes, bread and cheesecake for dessert.
We then departed for the plane (a little late, as the plane needed to take on more fuel due to the prevailing winds). We should arrive in Castanta, Romania in 11 hours.
We boarded the plane and departed for Romania.
